August 7, 2018
Volunteer Appreciation Night @ LeGrand Center, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

August 11
5th Annual 7th Inning Stretch Festival – Uptown Shelby
5k run/walk, 8:00 am
Little Miss ALWS Pageant, 10:00 am in the Don Gibson Theatre
Festival, 3:00-10:00 pm

Look for K-9 demonstrations by Shelby Police Department and Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department, kids’ activities, cornhole, obstacle course, sports moonwalk, wrecking ball, USAA mascot Freedom and more!

August 12
Regional Champions determined!

August 14
Teams arrive in Shelby.

August 15
Host City Welcome 
Uptown Shelby  5:15 p.m.
*Come meet and greet all eight regional teams
*Cornhole Tournament among all eight regional teams
*Medallion presentation to players by Mayor Anthony and City Council

Summer Brooke and the Mountain Faith Band take the stage at 5:30 p.m.

PARMALEE 8:00 p.m.

 

August 16 – Games begin
Senior Citizens Day!  Seniors receive Free Admission.
Canned goods and other  nonperishable food items will be
collected for the Leona Neal Senior Center food pantry. 

August 17 – Games continue
Salute to Academic Achievement Day – Students who participated in special summer academic courses receive a tournament pass courtesy of a sponsor.

August 18 – Games continue

Yoga in the Outfield, 9:00 am

USAA Military Appreciation Day – Veterans and Military Personnel receive free admission. Mementos presented to attending military personnel; recognition of Medal of Honor recipient and women veteran’s and veterans march.

First 600 veterans and active military personnel receive free caps & free commemorative coins & awards

August 19 –  Games continue
10:30 a.m. non-denominational church service at Keeter Stadium

Salute to medical personnel; members of the 
medical community admitted FREE. 

August 20
Games continue (Semifinals)
Youth Athletic Day! Youth wearing their team jerseys will receive FREE admission. 

Games 13 and 14

4 pm, Winner “Stars” vs “Runner-up Stripes”

8:00 pm, Winner “Stripes” vs Runner-up “Stars”

August 21
CHAMPIONSHIP TUESDAY!
